Daughters of King CHARLES' brother ANDREW join royals for Christmas service

Friday, December 26, 2025 -Britain’s Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie attended the royal family’s traditional Christmas Day church service at St. Mary Magdalene’s Church on the Sandringham estate in eastern England, joining senior members of the monarchy in the annual festive gathering.

King Charles and Queen Camilla led the procession, with the Prince and Princess of Wales and their three children also present, as the royals greeted well‑wishers in cold winter weather before the service. The event remains a high point of the royal calendar, drawing crowds who line the route to the church each year.

Notably absent from the service was the princesses’ father, Andrew Mountbatten‑Windsor, who was stripped of his royal titles in October due to his ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and subsequently stepped back from public duties.

Despite the controversy surrounding their father, Beatrice, 37, and Eugenie, 35, chose to attend the service with their respective partners, reaffirming their ongoing role in official family events. Other senior royals at the service included Princess Anne and her husband, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh with their children, and the king’s niece Zara Tindall and her husband.

The appearance of Beatrice and Eugenie at the Christmas service underscores their continued participation in the wider royal family’s public life, even as their father remains excluded.

After the service, the family was expected to return to Sandringham House for Christmas lunch ahead of King Charles’ traditional televised holiday message. Their attendance highlights the delicate balance within the monarchy as it navigates both tradition and ongoing scrutiny around reputational issues.
