KREMLIN says ‘TRUMP’s framework’ on Ukraine is ‘only substantive’ peace plan

Wednesday, November 26, 2025 -
The Kremlin has endorsed U.S. President Donald Trump’s proposed framework for resolving the Ukraine conflict, calling it the “only substantive” peace plan on the table.

Russian officials claim the proposal addresses core security concerns and could pave the way for a negotiated settlement, though details remain limited. The announcement marks a notable shift in Moscow’s public stance amid ongoing fighting and diplomatic stalemates.

The Trump-backed framework reportedly emphasizes territorial compromises, security guarantees, and phased withdrawals, though Kyiv has yet to respond formally.

Analysts caution that while Russia’s endorsement may signal willingness to engage, the plan faces serious skepticism from Ukraine, NATO allies, and international observers, who question its feasibility and fairness. The announcement has reignited debate over U.S. influence in peace efforts and the role of former leaders in shaping international diplomacy.

Political reactions in the United States have been swift and divided. Supporters praise the framework as a bold attempt to break the deadlock, while critics warn it could undermine Ukraine’s sovereignty and reward aggressive actions.

As the conflict continues, the plan adds a new layer of complexity to ongoing negotiations and highlights the persistent international stakes in Europe’s most volatile front.
