JESSICA SIMPSON reveals she spent thanksgiving with family and estranged husband ERIC JOHNSON: ‘family first’

Sunday, November 30, 2025 -
Jessica Simpson revealed that she spent Thanksgiving with her family and estranged husband Eric Johnson, emphasizing a “family first” philosophy.

Despite their separation in January 2025 after nearly a decade of marriage, Simpson and Johnson reunited at her mother’s house to celebrate the holiday together with their three children — Maxwell Drew, 13; Ace Knute, 12; and Birdie Mae, 6.

She said her mother did most of the cooking, while she and her sister relaxed and watched football. Simpson noted that having all the grandparents present made the gathering feel complete, stressing that Johnson was there because he is the kids’ father.

Reflecting on co‑parenting after a separation, Simpson offered advice for couples navigating breakups around the holidays: to always speak about each other with respect and prioritize the children’s emotional well‑being.

She said unconditional love and maintaining a united front for the kids should come first — a sentiment she clearly tried to uphold over the holiday.
