were injured on Sunday evening, Nov. 9.
The two children were at a birthday party held at the golf

and loved ones at this incredibly difficult time.

affected by this tragedy."
Colin Williams, 67, who plays at the club where there is a
driving range as well as a children’s adventure park, told Metro: "I’m in
utter shock. I’ve turned up to go the club shop and can’t believe it. The poor
boy and his family. I have three grandchildren it’s so terrible.
"It’s such a friendly club and the kids’ area is very
popular. To turn up and see police here just is awful. I’m shaken by
this."
The gates of the golf centre are padlocked and officials
huddled together as they analyse how the incident could have happened.
A girl was also injured but is out of hospital.
A witness told News Shopper that staff at the
centre worked quickly to look after the injured children, while one colleague
"may have even saved his life."
Lots of police were present at the venue following the
injuries, according to another witness.
A Met Police spokesperson said they received
reports of a child being injured by a collapsing wall at the golf venue.
They said: "Officers attended and paramedics were
treating a five-year-old boy.
"He was taken to hospital by the London Air Ambulance,
where he remains in a life-threatening condition.
"A six-year-old girl was also injured and has since
been discharged from the hospital."
