College Football Playoff Selection Committee issues fourth rankings of 2025

Wednesday, November 26, 2025 -
The College Football Playoff Selection Committee just dropped its fourth set of rankings for the 2025 season — and the picture is coming into sharp focus.

Ohio State Buckeyes, Indiana Hoosiers, and Texas A&M Aggies remain firmly atop the standings at No. 1, No. 2, and No. 3 respectively, with Georgia Bulldogs holding fourth and Texas Tech Red Raiders rounding out the top five.

Elsewhere in the top 25, Oregon Ducks moved up to No. 6, followed by Ole Miss Rebels at No. 7, Oklahoma Sooners at No. 8, Notre Dame Fighting Irish at No. 9, and Alabama Crimson Tide at No. 10.

With the standings tightening and rivalry week approaching, the urgency for key wins is rising. The updated rankings offer a strong preview of the projected 12‑team playoff bracket — where the top four earn first‑round byes and the rest battle through opening rounds. Every game from now until the final December ranking could reshuffle seeds and shape playoff hopes.
