Cloudflare outage impacts thousands, disrupts transit systems

Reports indicate that digital ticketing, scheduling apps, and information systems for multiple transit authorities were temporarily inaccessible, leaving commuters frustrated and stranded.

The outage, which lasted several hours, affected not only local transit operations but also e-commerce platforms, news sites, and corporate networks relying on Cloudflare’s content delivery and security services. 

Engineers at Cloudflare confirmed they are actively working to restore full service while investigating the root cause of the disruption.

Authorities and transit agencies warned passengers to expect delays and advised alternative travel arrangements while systems remain unstable.
