Friday, November 7, 2025 -Dozens of individuals sustained injuries and were hospitalized following an explosion that occurred during Friday prayers at a mosque within a school complex in Jakarta, Indonesia, according to police reports.
Police are currently investigating the cause of the explosion at the site in Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta. City police chief Asep Edi Suheri provided an update during a televised press conference, indicating that 54 individuals were admitted to hospitals. The injuries reported range from minor to severe, including burns.
News channels KompasTV and MetroTV have disseminated footage depicting a police presence surrounding the school, with ambulances positioned nearby. The images of the mosque do not suggest extensive damage.
