Monday, October 13, 2025-Severe flooding across Mexico has left at least 23 people dead and several others missing as torrential rains continue to batter much of the country.
The storms have caused rivers to overflow, triggered landslides, and destroyed key infrastructure, with the worst damage reported in Hidalgo, Puebla, and Veracruz states.
Emergency services have rescued families trapped in flooded homes, while thousands have been displaced to temporary shelters. Power outages and road collapses have made it difficult for rescue teams to reach isolated communities, and schools in several regions remain closed as cleanup efforts begin.
Meteorologists warn that more heavy rain is expected as storms move north toward Baja California. Authorities have mobilized troops and civil defense units to aid affected residents and prevent further loss of life as Mexico braces for another round of extreme weather.
