Monday, August 25, 2025 - English Premier League club, Wolverhampton Wanderers have submitted a €20 million bid for Getafe’s Nigerian midfielder, Christantus Uche, as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season.
Reliable transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed the
development on X, stating:
“Wolves have submitted official bid to Getafe worth €20m for Christantus Uche.
Negotiations underway to get deal done as #WWFC want new striker asap.”
Although Romano described Uche as a potential striker
option, the 22-year-old is primarily known for his dynamic midfield play,
combining defensive work rate with attacking flair.
Uche joined Getafe from Spanish side Ceuta last summer and
quickly became a key player, scoring four goals in 33 league appearances. He
was also instrumental in Getafe’s recent 2-0 win over Celta Vigo, where he
registered a goal and an assist and was named Man of the Match.
The midfielder’s rise has caught the attention of several
European clubs, but Wolves are currently leading the race as they aim to
bolster their squad depth and add more creativity from midfield.
