Saturday, August 2, 2025 - Former Premier League manager, Harry Redknapp has reportedly fallen victim to a violent burglary at his £5 million mansion in Sandbanks, one of the UK’s most exclusive coastal areas.
According to reports, masked robbers armed with
sledgehammers broke into the property while Harry and his wife Sandra, both
aged 78, were away. The gang is said to have smashed through the front door and
made off with jewellery and other luxury items belonging to Sandra.
The robbery, which is being treated as “clearly organised,”
was captured on CCTV, with footage allegedly showing the intruders ransacking
the house in search of valuables.
“They used lump hammers and a sledgehammer to smash the
front door open,” a source told The Sun. “It was clearly organised and they
must have known the house was empty at the time.”
The property is currently on the market as the Redknapps
prepare to move into a new home. A spokesperson for Redknapp confirmed the
break-in but stated:
“Harry doesn’t want to make a fuss. No one was in the
house at the time, and we don’t want to comment on what was taken. It’s a
matter for the police.”
Redknapp, who last managed Birmingham City in 2017, is best
known for his successful stints at Tottenham Hotspur, Portsmouth, and West Ham
United, as well as for leading Spurs to their first Champions League
appearance.
Married since 1968, Harry and Sandra share two children:
Jamie Redknapp, a former Liverpool and Spurs player, now a Sky Sports pundit,
and Mark Redknapp.
Police have yet to issue an official statement, but
investigations are ongoing.
