Tuesday, February 22, 2022 – A video has emerged of Suna East Member of Parliament, Junet Mohamed, beating a prominent Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) MP in Mombasa.
In the video shared by revered blogger, Cyprian Nyakundi, Junet, who is also the Director of Elections in ODM, is seen slapping Mvita MP, Abdulswamad Nassir.
The video was taken on Sunday when former Prime Minister Raila Odinga took his Azimio La Umoja Movement bus to Tononoka Grounds.
Junet is a very close ally of Raila Odinga and he holds immense power in ODM that everybody fears him.
Nassir, who is vying for the Mombasa Governor seat in August is facing troubles in ODM with top brass questioning his academic credentials.
Already, the Raila Odinga-led party has written to Mt Kenya University (MKU) and Technical University of Mombasa (TUM) seeking clarification on whether Nassir indeed acquired any Bachelor’s degree from them.
Junet is said to be opposed to Nassir‘s bid for the Mombasa gubernatorial seat and this may be why he slapped him on Sunday.
