Tuesday, February 22, 2022 – Former Mukurweini MP, Kabando Wa Kabando, has hinted at joining the Kenya Kwanza alliance that is led by Deputy President William Ruto, Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula.
This is after listening to the ground which is fully in support of Ruto and the Kenya Kwanza.
Speaking during an interview yesterday, Kabando, who is President Uhuru Kenyatta’s ally and Azimio La Umoja adherent, said the DP enjoys about 70 to 75 percent support of the Mt Kenya region.
According to him, even the intelligence service is cognizant of that fact.
“If you do an analysis of a random survey, out of 100 people in Mt Kenya region, 70 percent of them or about 75 in Nyeri and areas surrounding Nyeri support Deputy President William Ruto,” said Kabando, who has declared interest in the Nyeri senatorial seat.
This comes two months after he shared a post with a message that signified that he was in support of the ODM leader.
“I’m safer with Baba,” the post read.
But of late, the MP has appeared cagey in his support of Raila, signaling a possibility of him rethinking his political future.
