Tuesday, February 22, 2022 – The alleged attempted plot to assassinate President Uhuru Kenyatta by Deputy President William Ruto has taken a new twist that may see the DP and his accomplices arrested and prosecuted in a record time.
This is after it emerged that the mercenaries that Ruto hired to assassinate Uhuru are now ready and willing to flip on him and become state witnesses.
This was revealed by political activist Stanley Livondo who lifted the lead on the whole plot on Saturday.
Addressing journalists after recording a statement with the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), Livondo claimed that some of the mercenaries who had been hired to do the alleged job were willing to assist the state agencies in their investigations.
This comes even as he availed to the investigating agency the details of the people he believed to be part of the group, including their names, registration numbers of the vehicles they use and how they operate.
He also claimed that the purported plan spread across international borders.
“I have given them (DCI) all the information including the number plates of the vehicles they use, where they hide, how they move and communicate, and how they implement their plans,” he stated.
Livondo noted that the information he had shared would help the DCI officers to investigate and start fishing out the individuals from their hideouts in the coming days.
“That threat will be neutralized any hour from today. They will be picked up one by one, including those who have tried to eliminate witnesses. It is a big thing that even involves the church” he declared.
The businessman opined that some of the individuals and witnesses were willing to testify, provided that the government needed to provide security for them.
