Saturday, February 26, 2022 – University of Nairobi don, Prof. Herman Manyora, has revealed the biggest mistake President Uhuru Kenyatta made when he spoke at Sagana State Lodge on Wednesday.
Uhuru, who spoke in his vernacular language, blasted Deputy President William Ruto, accusing him of sabotaging his government and also stealing money meant for development projects.
The Head of State also told over 30,000 Mt Kenya residents who had gathered at Sagana to support former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s presidential bid in August, saying he is the best-placed candidate to succeed him.
Reacting to the President’s fiery speech, Manyora, who is also a seasoned political analyst, said Uhuru inserted fingers inside a hot boiling pan of oil, thinking he was in the right direction.
Manyora said Uhuru was not supposed to discuss anything concerning William Ruto, especially in the Mt Kenya backyard.
He said Uhuru’s abuses on Ruto added more votes and damaged Raila Odinga’s support in Mt Kenya.
“Was it a bold act, witnessing President Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta attacking and addressing his deputy in vernacular language?
“I think it was the worst political blunders that I have seen Kenyatta committing,”
“He never explained to the residents of the mountain why they should vote in for Raila’s presidency.
“His attacks have added a lot of more political value to DP William Ruto’s Camp,” Manyora said.
