Monday, February 28, 2022 – Narok Senator Ledama Olekina has raised a red flag about the possibility of Azimio La Umoja candidate Raila Odinga being rigged out in the upcoming August General Elections.
Venting on his official Twitter account, Olekina said that there is a known hacker in Kenya who they must watch very carefully for him not to mess with their victory in the upcoming polls.
In an indirect reference to Deputy President William Ruto’s spin-doctor and blogger Dennis Itumbi, who is known for his hacking prowess, having hacked ICC servers and exposed witnesses against President Uhuru Kenyatta and Ruto sometimes before 2013, even though he didn’t mention the person, Olekina said he is worried that Itumbi might hack the IEBC system and alter the results in favour of the DP.
“There is a known hacker in Kenya who we must watch very carefully for him not to mess with our victory! @RailaOdinga @HassanAliJoho @JunetMohamed @HEBabuOwino”, reads a tweet from Senator Ole Kina.
This comes even as IEBC had earlier allayed fears of external influence in the management of the 2022 general elections.
IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati said the electoral body is committed to delivering free and fair elections.
He said claims of perceived interference in the presidential and gubernatorial elections were unfounded.
